Caribbean Recipes: Pina Colada Dipping Sauce

This pina colada sauce recipe tastes very much like Red Lobster’s. It’s quick and easy to throw together, and it’s great with coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, chicken strips, chicken breasts, and just about anything else you want to compliment with sweet, creamy flavor.

Some people like to add real rum to their pina colada dipping sauce, but I usually just use rum flavoring. Don’t want the grandkids getting a buzz, ya know!

Holle’s Pina Colada Dipping Sauce recipe

What you’ll need:

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup crushed pineapple

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

rum flavoring, to taste

bottled liquid pina colada drink mix (no alcohol)

Directions: Mix together everything except for the Pina colada mix. Gradually add the drink mix until it reaches the consistency you want. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
