This is a quick and easy recipe for New England succotash, an old Native American dish. The original recipe often included bear fat and sometimes dog meat – or whatever else was available to the tribes at the time. Since the old recipe used dried beans, the process for making succotash took hours to prepare, but with my quick and easy recipe, you can enjoy the great taste of succotash in a snap!
