I have another recipe for homemade hamburgers to share with you that we made a few days ago – kind of a Southwestern or Tex-Mex recipe. We cooked our homemade hamburgers on the grill, but you can fry yours in a black iron skillet if you like. I used lean ground beef but decided the burgers might get a little dry, so I added some cream to help with the juicy factor.
Holle’s Chipotle-Ranch Burgers
What you’ll need:
- 1 ½ pounds ground round
- 1 envelope dry ranch dressing mix
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 2 teaspoons chipotle powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Bottled buttermilk ranch dressing
- Sliced tomatoes
Directions: Combine ground beef, dressing mix, cream, chipotle, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form into six patties, slightly larger than your buns.
Refrigerate patties for 30 minutes. Grill or fry until desired doneness.
Serve on buns with buttermilk ranch dressing and sliced tomatoes.
