Crispy Vidalia Onion Rings

Crispy onion rings

I bought a big bag of Vidalia onions the other day, and I’ve been craving some homemade onion rings. I got around to making some last night. This simple recipe makes super crispy onion rings, and they’re not at all greasy!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 large Vidalia onion
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Flour
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt

Directions: Peel onion and slice into 1/3-inch disks. Separate into rings.

Whisk together milk and egg. Place flour in a large bowl

Dip onion rings in egg wash and then in flour. Repeat process.

Fry onion rings in about four inches of hot vegetable oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with salt.

I heat my oil on medium high, by the way.
