Crusty batter-fried hamburger recipe
Hamburger recipes are as varied as America itself, and just about everyone enjoys burgers and has his own homemade hamburgers recipes. I’ve warned you about Southern food before – we’ll batter and fry just about anything that will stand still long enough! When I was a kid, my mom used to make battered hamburgers. Dad owned a grocery store and brought home lots of ground beef, so I guess she was always looking for new ways to cook it, and batter-fried hamburgers was one of them.
Mom’s Battered Burgers recipe
What you’ll need:
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions: Mix ground beef with salt and pepper and form into four patties.
Roll patties in flour. Dip into eggs and coat in flour again.
Fry in about ½-inch of oil on medium heat, to desired doneness. Drain on paper towels
