Prep Time: 30 Minutes

Cooking Time: 1 Hour 30 Minutes

  • 12 large, meaty wings
  • 4 Tbsp Water
  • 3 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Tsp Dry Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 500 degrees while mixing together your barbeque rub. In a small pan mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire, vinegar, and water over a medium heat. Add in your dry ingredients (salt, dry mustard, and chili powder) and stir thoroughly. Allow the sauce to simmer over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2: Put your chicken into a rectangular baking dish and begin to pour the heated sauce over them, ensuring that you cover each piece of chicken thoroughly. Cover the chicken wings with aluminum foil or a glass dish cover.

Step 3: Place the baking dish into the oven and allow the chicken to cook for 15 minutes at 500 degrees. Reduce the heat in your oven down to 300 degrees and continue to allow the chicken to cook for another hour. After one hour, remove the cover from the dish, and stir the sauce. Using a spoon, cover the chicken with the sauce from the bottom of the pan. With the cover off, allow the chicken to continue baking at 300 degrees for another 15 minutes.
