New England Recipes: Apple Beef Brisket

A great crock pot brisket recipe

This brisket recipe is cooked in the crock pot or slow cooker, and it’s delicious! It also smells wonderful cooking. For the apples, use tart baking apples like Granny Smith or Braeburn. Once the brisket is done, skim the fat from the liquid in the pot. Use the liquid as the base for a sauce by thickening it with flour or cornstarch. Actually, I like it “as is” over rice. It’s also great for dipping crusty bread!
