New England Recipes: Cranberry Walnut Bread
Many New England recipes include cranberries. This is a quick and easy recipe for a delightful cranberry bread. It’s sweet and nutty, and it would be a great addition to your Christmas recipes, Thanksgiving recipes, or other holiday recipes. A loaf of this bread makes a great gift, too. Just wrap it in colored cling wrap and tie a ribbon around it!
Holle’s Cranberry Walnut Bread recipe
What you’ll need:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup chopped cranberries
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Directions: Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon into a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix together eggs, juice, and oil.
Stir gently into flour mixture.
Add cranberries and nuts.
Pour batter into a loaf pan that has been sprayed with Baker’s Joy.
Bake for an hour at 350 degrees.
