Pan Seared Zucchini
Zucchini is a popular southern food, and you'll find lots of southern recipes for it. Zucchini is naturally low in carbs, so you can make lots of low carb recipes with it. The following zucchini recipe is easy to make, delicious, and a low carb recipe, to boot. If you like spicy zucchini, just sprinkle on some chili powder, chipotle powder, or ground red pepper.
Holle's Pan-Seared Zucchini recipe
what you'll need:
- fresh zucchini
- oil
- garlic salt
- onion powder
- black pepper
Directions: Rinse and dry zucchini and split in half lengthwise. Now cut each section into halves or thirds.
Heat oil over medium high until hot. Add zucchini, cut side (flat side) down. Cook until flesh is caramelized. Flip zucchini sections over and reduce heat to medium-low. Sprinkle flat side with seasonings. Cook until zucchinis are fork tender.
