A beautiful party idea!
This party food is super easy to make, but it’s really delicious, and it makes a beautiful presentation when stacked in a circle on a round tray. If you don’t want to go to the expense of deli ham, you can substitute sliced packaged sandwich ham. Virginia cured brown sugar or honey ham works well here. Just make sure it’s sliced thin.
The easiest way to fill the rolled-up ham slices is with a pastry bag. You’ll need to use a large tip.
Holle’s Stuffed Ham Rolls recipe
What you’ll need:
- Sliced ham
- Whipped or spreadable cream cheese
- Grated parmesan cheese, to taste
- Thinly sliced green onions, to taste
Directions: Separate ham slices and allow to air dry for a few minutes while you prepare the filling.
Whip the cream cheese together with enough milk to make it fluffy. Add green onions.
Roll up a slice of ham and hold it in your left hand. A slightly conical shape works best because the rolls will make a more attractive presentation. Make sure one end is a little smaller than the other end of the roll.
Hold the pastry bag in your right hand. Place the tip of the pastry bag into the larger opening of the ham roll and squeeze the filling into the meat. If filled ham rolls won’t hold their shape, place them in a single layer in the freezer for a few minutes until firm.
