This is a great party idea. Kids and adults love fried chicken nuggets! Homemade chicken nuggets are soooo much better than anything you can buy in the store or at fast-food restaurants. Serve them on a platter with ranch dressing, honey mustard, and/or sweet and sour sauce for dipping. Supply a small, attractive container of toothpicks by your chicken nuggets – no forks required! Here’s a suggestion: Don’t make your chicken nuggets too uniform in shape and size. That way, your party guests will know they’re getting homemade chicken nuggets instead of the processed kind.
Holle’s Homemade Chicken Nuggets recipe
What you’ll need:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 eggs
- ¾ – 1 cup water
- 1 cup flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Peanut oil for frying
Directions: Cut chicken into one-inch cubes.
Whisk together eggs and water. Blend in flour and seasonings until smooth.
Dip chicken in batter, draining excess.
Fry in deep fryer set at 360 degrees, until golden brown. This will take four or five minutes. Drain on paper towels or wire rack.
