Simple Shrimp Salad

Easy shrimp salad

I have lots of seafood and fish recipes, and some of my favorites are for shrimp salad. And yes, I have several shrimp salad recipes! This one is simple, but it’s very tasty. I like to chop some of the shrimp to create more surface area. If you prefer whole shrimp, that’s fine, too!

Holle’s Basic Shrimp Salad recipe:

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 pound shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped bread-and-butter pickles
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 large fresh tomato

Directions: Boil, peel, and devein shrimp. Chop, if desired. Dry shrimp thoroughly by squeezing in paper towels. Place shrimp in a small mixing bowl.

Add remaining ingredients except for tomato. Stir.

Cut the tomato into wedges and spoon shrimp salad on top. Serve chilled.
