Low carb recipes are great for fish!

Tilapia is a lean, mild tasting fish that’s great in a variety of fish recipes. The following is one of my low carb recipes for frying. You don’t have to sacrifice taste and texture with healthy low carb diets! You’ll get lots of buttery crunchiness with this recipe, plus lots of healthy fiber and protein. Thinner fillets will work much better with this recipe than will thicker fillets.

Low carb fried fish

If you like the taste and texture of crunchy fried fish but you’re sticking with low carb recipes, you can have both – at the same time! All you need to do is to tweak the way you think about batter and breading. Instead of high-carb white flour with your fish recipes, use soy flour. I use this all the time with low carb diets, and I’ve had excellent results. My favorite is Hodgson’s Mill soy flour. It seems to have the best taste and texture, from my cooking experiences.

Low carb recipes – quesadillas

Homemade quesadillas are yummy, and they’re quick and easy to make. You fill them with shredded cheese and add chicken, beef, shrimp, onions, pepper, mushrooms, or anything else you fancy. You’ll also need to sprinkle on some of your favorite seasonings, like garlic salt, chili powder, onion powder, and/or salsa.

Enjoy this low carb recipe!

Bbq chicken is one of my favorite foods! If you’re a regular reader, you know I enjoy creating low carb recipes, along with eating low carb recipes. Today I’m making low carb barbecued chicken, slathered in my low carb sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. I’m cooking this barbecued chicken in the oven, but you could use it for grilling, too. Also, I’m using fairly large breasts with the skin and bones intact. You can use boneless, skinless breasts if you prefer, but I must admit I like the crunchy skin laden with the sweet sauce!

Low carb recipes and bbq sauce are staples at our house. The problem is that I love good food, and sometimes I can’t have things I’d like to have because of the high carb count. One thing I really enjoy is barbecued foods. With Southern food, “barbecued” generally means anything that’s smothered in a sweet and/or spicy sauce and cooked. These items might be grilled, smoked, or baked in the oven. Most of the barbecue sauces I like, however, are loaded with sugars and carbs. Since I didn’t want to give up one of my favorite tastes, I came up with my own low carb barbecue sauce. It’s really delicious! I use it on burgers, chicken, steaks, pork chops, pulled pork, spare ribs, baby back ribs, and more. Give it a try!

Low carb burrito recipe

This is another of my low carb recipes for which I use “La Tortilla” Whole Wheat low carb tortillas from Amazon. They sell a range of different tortilla wraps and several flavors are usually available – whole wheat and green onion are my favorites. For these low carb burritos, I like using the whole wheat flavor, which are high fiber, low carb. The low carb tortillas have only five net carbs each, and they’re soft and tasty.
